This work emerged from a stay at a Buddhist rehabilitation monastery located in the mountains of Thailand.
During the residency, the artist encountered people seeking recovery while witnessing the repetitive cycle of desire, dependency, and renewal.
Hunger becomes desire; desire gradually transforms into attachment. The work reflects on this recurring cycle—not only as a condition of addiction, but as a fundamental rhythm embedded in human existence.
Drawing from the time spent at the site, conversations with its inhabitants, and lived experience, the work reconstructs these observations into an experimental moving image that contemplates the landscape of repetition and renewal.
