"Ruins" are often described as things that deteriorate over time.
However, there are various types of ruins:
Ruins that quietly stand in the depths of the mountains.
Ruins in urban areas that decay and are eventually demolished.
Ruins that are arbitrarily introduced as haunted spots, vandalized and covered in graffiti, only to be replaced by new "cool" buildings.
Ruins that have endured with history, deeply connected to someone’s thoughts and emotions.
I sense a common feeling in all ruins.
People tend to view ruins negatively as something that "decays," but are they truly "decaying"?
Indeed, according to conventional perceptions of time, things inevitably fade as time passes.
However, ruins seem to follow a different timeline, heading toward a future that we, as humans, can never reach.
Should we call this process "decay," or perhaps regard it as "growth" or the "beauty of evolution"?
