《Manhole》 is an experimental film composed of eight scenes that explores the boundaries between life and death, as well as the relationship between the physical and spiritual worlds, ultimately depicting the essence of human existence.
Rather than treating the material and spiritual worlds as separate entities, the work presents them as interconnected through a continuous cycle, expressing the coexistence of opposing concepts such as divinity and materiality, creation and destruction, life and death.
This piece redefines physical death not as an end, but as a new beginning, symbolically portraying the concept of reincarnation and questioning, "What does it mean to live?" By illustrating the process through which the coexistence of spirit and matter gives rise to new realities, the work sheds light on the ambiguous boundaries of our world and invites the audience to reflect on their own sense of existence.
